Structure

GIMM CARE is a pioneering clinical and translational research initiative in Portugal, designed to apply scientific knowledge and novel approaches to deliver effective solutions to the most pressing health needs.

GIMM CARE’s human-centred and data-driven research and innovation model is based on the involvement of all stakeholders – citizens, patients, health professionals, researchers, businesspeople, industry, health authorities and government – resulting in interdisciplinary, cross-sectoral collaborations to solve health challenges. CARE is structured around 4 key pillars – Mission-driven Research, Training and Mentoring, Biobank and Clinical Research.

GIMM CARE Centre of Excellence – Boosting Clinical Research for the Benefit of Society – is kickstarted by a Teaming for Excellence project funded by the European Union and in collaboration with the Vall d’Hebron Institut de Recerca in Barcelona.
